How to Reinstall Apps on Mac OS X. If you wonder on how to reinstall a broken app in your Mac OS X, this video will give you three choices on how to fix this issue.

Pacifist is a shareware application that opens Mac OS X .pkg package files, .dmg disk images, and .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, and .xar archives and allows you to extract individual files and folders out of them.

This is useful, for instance, if an application which is installed by the operating system becomes damaged and needs to be reinstalled without the hassle of reinstalling all of Mac OS X, or if you want to inspect a downloaded package to see what it will install before installing it.

Pacifist is also able to verify existing installations and find missing or altered files, and Pacifist can also examine the kernel extensions installed in your system to let you see what installer installed them, and whether the installer was made by Apple or a third-party.

around in your system without the necessary precautions or
deleted some important files residing in the package content of the application. to fix this issue you have three choices
the first is going to disk utility and verifying the
disk permissions this method can fix the owner
permissions and other important issues you may have in your system if wasn't a permission issue then you
still can't open the application the best fix reinstall the second option is grab your Mac OS X
install DVD next go to optional installs an optional
install package hit continue and agree with the terms and
conditions and here you can select which you want to reinstall or even printer
drivers for instance but again if you don't find the app to
reinstall from the Mac OS 10 DBD you have this third option Pacifist. Pacifist comes to save the day and will reinstall your broken

wonder if you can help me. I used Terminal on my mac which i had 10.10.3, which in terminal I swapped to 10.10.2 which then terminal closed on me and now i can not swap back. now my "Photos" app will not open and says "You can’t use this version of the application “Photos” with this version of OS X." and "You have OS X 10.10.2. The application requires OS X 10.10.3 or later." Your immediate assistance will be appreciated and Thanks in advance.
