welcome to the PC Works tutorial videos in this video we will demonstrate how to develop a simple program first we will show how to implement a simple and gate open the worksheet called main by double-clicking on it on the right side click on the open worksheet on the right find the red icon with the word and next to it and double click on it it will appear where you click on the worksheet double click on one of the inputs on the function block to insert a variable at that input note that the data type for that input is already filled in for you type a name for an input such as IX input 1 and then click OK now repeat for the second input naming the variable input 2 now we will implement a ton block as before click on the worksheet then find the function block labeled ton the ton block implements a delay in the output for a preset time period connect the input of the ton block to the output of the and block by simply clicking on the blue circle for the ton input and tracing the line to the green circle on the output of the and block now to set the delay period double click on the PT input of the ton block name the variable T pound five s T pound means time constant and five S stands for five seconds this will implement a five-second delay on the output of the ton block elapsed time for the ton block is output through the et output et will start at zero and max out at the time designated by PT double-click on this variable to type a name for it and name it actual time next double-click on the output queue of the ton block type or find the name on board output bit 0 this will automatically link the variable to the respective on board output now that we have created a simple program the next video will demonstrate how to link process data to the variables in the program
